Building a future of hopeDI MI PA BÔS (also known as dimipabos) is an NGO in Guinea-Bissau, based in Bissau. We were born from the urgent need to offer adequate, humane treatment to people facing chemical dependency, and our mission is to build and operate the country's first specialised centre.

Our Story
NGO DI MI PA BÔS was founded in 2021 with a simple, essential purpose: to bring help to those who need it most. At first our focus was on donations, providing basic support to vulnerable people in Guinea-Bissau. Along the way, however, we recognised an even greater need — a safe, structured space to welcome and treat people struggling with chemical dependency.
From that realisation our flagship project was born: building a shelter and treatment centre for people facing challenges with substance use. The centre will be a place where they can recover with dignity, receiving appropriate treatment and continuous follow-up to ensure their rehabilitation and reintegration into society.
We are still in the construction phase, but every step we take is driven by our commitment to transforming lives. With the support of our community, partners and donors, we are building a future where more people get the chance to start over.
